43/365 Paul

My husband and I spent the Great Blackout of 1965 with this famous jazz musician. When I climbed 28 long flights of stairs after dinner, Paul was waiting at the top. Blinded by scotch, he told me I was adorable.

Hi Susan :-). I don't remember that blackout ... was it only in the east coast?

I think it was, but it was big. I went next door to ask Paul if his power was out, too. He was on the phone. I looked out the window and said, "It's dark all the way up 6th Avenue." He said, "It's dark all the way up to Connecticut!"

Crystal, I think you're just too young to remember. :-)

Thank you, Susan ... I was, of course, a mere infant :-)

I remember that blackout very well, but I'm not going to tell you why. :-) I was a busy boy.

I'm not blinded by scotch but I still think you're adorable. I'm adorable too but unlike you I was probably more adorable in 1965. I've been reduced to likeable but it's a comfortable place to be, lol

I know it's not the point, but I'm sooo curious about the last name (loving jazz as I do...)
